Jack Brogdon has been with Sun Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center since its inception in July of 2020. He is an accomplished Licensed Nursing Home Administrator with over 23 years of experience. Momentum Skilled Services selected Jack as Administrator of the Year for 2023. In May 2024, The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) honors Dr. Jack Brogdon, LNFA, Administrator of Sun Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Harlingen, Texas, with the 2024 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award.  Only 2% of facilities nationwide met the initial selection criteria. For 2025, As published In Newsweek.com:  as Americas Best Nursing Homes has recognized Sun Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for its excellence. In 1996, he started his journey in the medical field as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. In 2001, he decided to further his career to become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Jack’s leadership skills consist of effective communication, excellent customer service, critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, coaching, teamwork, motivation, positive employee culture, and collaboration which has allowed companies to thrive with quality patient outcomes and financial viability. Jack currently holds a Doctoral Degree in Education and Leadership in Healthcare and a master’s degree in health science with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration. He believes the key to success is to focus on customer service, quality patient care, financial responsibility, developing new business, excellent staff development, employee culture, and increased staff retention. Jack is a licensed preceptor for prospective nursing home administrators.  His long-term goal is to educate other potential administrators or healthcare leaders so they will be equipped with the tools and knowledge to be successful. He is married to his wife Kristen with whom he has three children. He is also a proud Grandpa with another one on the way and loves his family dearly.
